CPR Admits Polluting Calgary Groundwater
(3/25/2009) Residents of Ogden Community in the Coty of Calgary will be attending a Town Hall Meeting, Wednesday March 25, 2009 at 7p.m. at the Ogden House Senior Citizen Club at 2101 - 69 Avenue SE, to discuss pollution Class Action against Canadian Pacific Railway.CPR has filed a Statement of Defence in which it admits polluting the groundwater under certain areas in the community of Ogden with a chemical called Tetrachloroethylene (TCE). TCE has been found in the homes in Ogden, and is known to have adverse health side effects. CPR says that the cause of TCE in the homes is cleaning chemicals and detergents used in the home. Residents should be warned of this prospect.
