Fosamax Class Action Lawsuit

B Fosamax: a drug used to treat and prevent osteoporosis in post menopausal women and osteoporosis in men. Fosamax has been linked to osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ) or "dead jaw," a condition where the jaw bone dies, leading to extreme pain and exposed bone in the mouth. Fosamax is manufactured by Merck, the same company responsible for Vioxx, the dangerous arthritis drug that was removed from the market in 2004. Patients have reported that there were no warnings on the label of the drug for osteonecrosis. Osteonecrosis can last up to 10 years after the drug has been taken.
