Bayer Inc. - Trasylol Warehouse Class Action

Docken & Company has filed a Class Action against Bayer Inc. with respect to the drug Trasylol.

Trasylol affects the way in which blood clots. It is administered to patients who are undergoing open-heart surgery, reducing the extent of blood transfusions required. Sales of Trasylol have escalated to more than $600 million.

The New England Journal of Medicine published an article calling into question the safety of Trasylol. Use of Trasylol has been associated with a dramatically increased risk of renal failure, myocardial infarction, heart failure, or stroke.

There are estimates that at least 10,000 patients may unnecessarily have suffered kidney damage due to the use of Trasylol during heart surgery.
